Yukon Passions Video Project
The Department of Health and Social Services, Yukon would like to invite you to participate in the creation of a short video series for our upcoming Yukon Wellness website.
WHAT
The goal of this video project is to capture some of the unique and diverse passions of young Yukoners. The short videos will consist of various video clips and stills of Yukon children and youth doing what they love with the people they love, and talking about what it is and/or who it is that inspires them. We know that wellness is about feeling good and living life fully, so we want to celebrate and promote wellness by sharing some of the passions that contribute to the well-being of young people here in the Yukon.
WHEN
We will be collecting and editing footage of Yukon children and youth throughout the summer of 2012. However, not all photo and video footage captured will make it into the final project. We plan to launch the final, edited versions of the videos online by September 2012.
WHERE
Although most of our filming will likely take place in Whitehorse, we hope to work with youth from as many Yukon communities as possible. Upon their completion, the videos will be launched on our Yukon Wellness website.
HOW
All participants will be required to read and sign consent forms stating that they understand, and consent to, being in the Yukon Passions Video Project. Parental consent will be required of any participant under sixteen years of age. After obtaining written consent, we will conduct a series of filmed interviews with participants to discover what it is that makes them happy. What are young Yukoners most passionate about, and who or what are their sources of inspiration?
