      Description: Ten weeks of pre-treatment sessions either with families or one-on-one counselling with individuals. Candidates who successfully complete the pre-treatment are then sent to Alcohol and Drug Services in Whitehorse for treatment in preparation for the aftercare program. Aftercare counselling with male and female clients in separate groups - includeds Medicine Wheel video series and other hands on activities. Aftercare runs 12 months, meeting every week.

      Description: Funded by Yukon Housing Corporation and delivered in Whitehorse by the Yukon Council on Aging, this referral program matches seniors with basic home and yard maintenance needs with community residents registered to provide these services. The program is aimed at seniors who are living independently but have difficulty paying commercial rates for basic home and yard upkeep.
