How do I get into Detox?
Phone ahead (667-8473 or from the communities 1-800-661-0408, ext 8473) for bed availability and staff can answer questions you may have.
Detox will accept collect calls after 4:00 p.m. from the Yukon Communities. Detox is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What does Detox look like?

Do I have be intoxicated, or sober, in order to get into Detox?
Clients coming to Detox are usually intoxicated or withdrawing from other drugs. What we suggest is you (or a friend or family member) give us a call regarding your particular circumstances and we can see how we can be of assistance.
What will I need to bring with me?
Medications prescribed by your Doctor. Detox supplies all other essentials.
What kind of programming do you offer?
Detox provides:
- daily substance abuse awareness sessions
- in-house client programming
- access to AA/NA meetings
- referrals to Addiction Counselors located in the same building
- referrals to other agencies as needed
Am I obligated to stay?
No, you can leave any time you like. Detox provides a safe environment for clients to withdraw from substance use. There are bedrooms with two beds in each room and one room that has four beds. Detox provides a warm atmosphere and continuing support.
Will you pay for transportation?
Detox does not provide transportation to or from the building.
Can you hold a bed?
Arrangements can be made to hold a bed for a limited time.
How long can I stay?
Length of stay varies with the withdrawal management plan for each individual.
Can I have something to eat?
Food isn't offered immediately upon admission. However, a bit later a person may be able to have some broth. It will depend on the initial state of your health. After you have stabilized, Detox offers three nutritious meals a day plus snacks.
Can I bring my CD player, guitar, and DVD player?
Electronic devices, cell phones and computers are not permitted.
Can I have visitors?
If you wish to have visitors, discuss this with staff. All visits would need to be arranged in advance.
