Yukon to participate in Saskatchewan MS clinical trials
December 21, 2010
The Yukon government has committed to participating with Saskatchewan in clinical trials for the Liberation Therapy, if and when the seven research studies currently under way indicate if the scientific evidence is strong enough to support a clinical trial, and whether the expected benefits of the procedure outweigh the anticipated risks.
At this time, Yukon is still working with Saskatchewan to determine how Yukon could participate in the trial.
There is no additional information presently available on what the criteria for participation in the trial might be, however it is understood that the Research Network itself will determine the criteria for selecting participants and who those participants might be.
As additional information becomes available, it will be posted on the H&SS website and provided to local physicians.
