Kids recreation fund
The purpose of the Kids Recreation Fund (KRF) is to assist children and youth who are unable to actively participate in organized recreation programs because of financial hardship.
The Kids Recreation Fund is a special fund that is administered by Sport Yukon and supported, in part, by the Government of Yukon. It was established in 1999 as a way to help disadvantaged children and youth participate in organized sport, art, cultural, social and recreational programs.
Children and youth (aged 0 to 18 years) from families whose family net income is under either of the following:
- $40,500 with 1 child
- $46,500 with 2 children
- $52,500 with 3 children
- $58,500 with 4 or more children
Note: Foster parents of children in care should contact Family and Children's Services for funds for recreation activities.
