The Health Promotion Unit provides or supports evidence-based, targeted health promotion and illness prevention programs and activities, to increase public awareness, support healthier decision making and lifestyles, support professional development and collaboration, and create and promote supportive environments.

Congenital Anomalies Support Yukon (CASY) is a tool to evaluate rates and trends of congenital anomalies as well as risk factors associated with their occurrence and helps with developing programs and services to help lower the rate of Yukon babies born with a congenital anomaly.
Comprehensive Sexual Health Education (CSHE)
• The Comprehensive Sexual Health Education model provides non-judgmental, age-appropriate, and medically accurate information on a broad set of topics related to sexuality including human development, relationships, decision making, abstinence, contraception, and infection prevention.
Kickin' Ash Youth Smoking Prevention Resource
The Health Promotion Unit has a new tobacco prevention program called Kickin' Ash and we're looking to pilot it with interested organizations.

Smoke-free Places Act
Environmental Health Officers provide guidance and information about requirements and responsibilities of the Smoke-free places act and regulations and investigate complaints about environmental health concerns related to smoking
