Project milestones and other important dates

December 2015 – Nurses in community health centers across the territory begin to electronically order lab tests and receive lab test results
April 2016 – The Yukon Client Registry goes live with accurate, up-to-date patient demographic information beginning to be shared across the territory.
August 31, 2016 – The Health Information Privacy and Management Act (HIPMA) is in force.
December 2016 – Yukon’s first community pharmacy begins to contribute medication information to Yukon’s Drug Information System. 
February 2017 – The first requests for specialized lab tests are sent electronically from Whitehorse General Hospital to British Columbia. Results of those lab tests are returned electronically from British Columbia. 
March 2017 – Yukon’s first health care providers begin to access medication information through the Drug Information System Portal.
April 2017 – Yukon’s first physician clinic integrates use of the Yukon Client Registry into their day-to-day operations.
May 2017 – Seven of eight community pharmacies across the territory are using new pharmacy software in support of the Yukon DIS and CRS.
