Community Nursing provides Primary Health Care which is carried out by a system of health facilities that are designed to meet the health needs of the community in which they are situated.
The following represents the basic program and service distinctions among the various facilities.
Community Health Centres are located in Carcross, Teslin, Carmacks, Pelly Crossing, Destruction Bay, Haines Junction, Beaver Creek, Faro, Ross River, Old Crow and Mayo.

Nursing bursary program
First introduced in 1999, the Yukon nursing education bursary is intended to support people who live or have lived in the Yukon to attend nursing school.

Telehealth uses videoconferencing technology to provide healthcare services and education to clients and health care professionals in their own community.
