This symposium aims to bring people with FASD, those supporting people affected by FASD, decision-makers and researchers together to share information, inform each others’ practice and provide the impetus for individuals and groups to make a commitment to trying something differently in their work or community.
Objectives:
- To provide opportunities for participants to share and learn about positive approaches (success stories) and current research aimed at preventing FASD and supporting people affected by FASD.
- To promote dialogue and build relationships amongst people with FASD, those supporting people with FASD, decision-makers, researchers and others in order to foster networks of support, information sharing and links between research and practice.
- To celebrate successes, inspire hope and spark individual and group commitment to try at least one thing differently as a result of the symposium.
